Welcome
A Bit About Me
I'm a writer, editor, and organizer based in New York City working at the shifting intersections of politics, labor, arts and culture, queerness, and religion. I'm an editor at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, where I edit essays and articles for our digital publications Perspectives and The Heilbrunn Timeline of Art History. I also am an editor at Acacia, a magazine of politics and culture for the Muslim left. Originally from the Bay Area in California, I've spent time reporting in Chicago, Cape Town, and New York. My work has been published in The New Yorker, The Nation, and Lux Magazine.
On this site, you'll find some of my writing as well as multimedia interactive features. Looking forward to being in touch!
